Taylor Grand Slam Acoustic Buy Today & We'll Throw In The Following Free Gifts Free Deluxe Guitar Stand, Deluxe Humidifier,Korg GA-30 Tuner This is a limited time offer so please act quickly! It's big. And if you think you know the Taylor sound, you're in for a big surprise. Meet the all-new Grand Symphony, an original body shape developed by Bob Taylor. Its big voice is bold and new, and unlike any other Taylor. The GS Series features four wood combinations, each with the same visual appointments -- and all for around the same price. Try each one and find your big tone. Acoustic Roots Pure acoustic styling is identical on all GS Series models. Taylor changes only the wood combinations, creating four new and unique tones. A Little Equals a Lot Small changes go a long way. A higher, wider waist and a rounder lower bout add up to a big difference in tone. Another Taylor Flavor Deep, piano-like bass, rich mids and clear, balanced highs. And plenty of volume. This is the new GS. It's About Tone All four models sell for about the same price. Try each one and let tone be your guide. Grand Symphony Shape Though you might see similarities to a Grand Auditorium, the GS is unique in both sound and shape. Significant changes in its geometry yield a deeper, more piano-like bass. A wider lower bout and higher, wider waist return ample volume and low-end sustain, in symphony with fuller mids and balanced highs. Gloss Finish The finish used to create this guitar's lustrous gloss top, back, and sides was developed at Taylor for maximum durability and resistance to cold-checking. This ultra violet-cured finish is also more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes. Mahogany/Cedar The Tropical American mahogany/Western Red cedar combination is a true powerhouse. It's one of Taylor's favorites, and a natural choice to be among the inaugural models in the GS Series. Like all GS models, it has "pure acoustic" detailing: abalone micro dot inlays, Ivoroid binding, abalone rosette, and rosewood peghead veneer. Top: Western Red cedar Back sides: Tropical American mahogany Maple/Spruce You'll detect distinct tonal differences as you move from model to model within the GS Series. The Big Leaf maple/Sitka spruce combination is stunning from first glance, and clear and articulate from first listen. If you thought you knew the maple guitar sound, think again. Top: Sitka spruce Back sides: Big Leaf maple Rosewood/Cedar Indian rosewood and Western Red cedar is a pairing that is traditionally among Taylor's best-selling models. The softness of cedar will yield subtle differences in tone when compared to the rosewood/spruce combination. Top: Western Red cedar Back sides: Indian rosewood Rosewood/Spruce For many guitar enthusiasts, Indian rosewood is the definitive tonewood. Paired with a Sitka spruce top, it's a traditional combination that sings in the GS body shape. Taylor expects this to be the "go-to" GS model for many players. Top: Sitka spruce Back

Taylor's T5 was certainly one of the guitar sensations of 2005, and has almost instantly become the in-demand instrument for thousands of players. So what can Taylor do to top it? Bob Taylor knew his company owed it to customers to let them know that the company's head was still very much in the acoustic game. The brand new GS (Grand Symphony) Series proves that point and then some! Taylor GS Series Acoustic Guitar at a Glance: A refined shape, designed for maximum projection Deep, piano-like bass and full midrange Shape refinements and Taylor X-bracing A simple design with "back to basics" appeal A unique new series with four tonewood combinations A refined shape, designed for maximum projection Taylor had a sound in mind, and a shape that he thought would yield that sound. The new GS centers on the concept of the Grand Auditorium, with the waist moved up toward the neck, and the lower bout a little more "pregnant." Make the guitar a little bit bigger, and in reality, it's a lot bigger. The new GS body shape does bear some similarities in shape to the Grand Auditorium, but it's a whole new guitar. In addition to pushing the waist up, Taylor widened it, lessening the "pinching" effect that can diminish the tonal output of the guitar. Coupled with the bigger, rounder lower bout, the new body geometry was now capable of producing a more powerful sound. Deep, piano-like bass and full midrange Taylor's goal was to design a guitar that has a deeper, piano-like bass, much more volume, and a good low-end sustain, without ruining the clarity of the mids and the highs. The idea was to start with the concept of the GA and make it more boisterous. The GS has a great midrange. If you want, you can get a little bit of that "low-fi" midrange chunk that people like to hear in recording, but you also can play it more clearly. And if you just want to strum or play fingerstyle, the GS is loud and really bright. Shape refinements and Taylor X-bracing The new shape was officially christened the Grand Symphony, or GS. In addition to the body's modified dimensions, other shape refinements, such as a more sloped shoulder, were incorporated to give the GS unique aesthetic appeal. Inside the guitar, the GS bracing is a standard Taylor bracing scheme, which includes the forward-shifted X-bracing and the relief rout around the outer edge of the soundboard. A few other very subtle structural changes were made in top, back, and side thickness, but the distinctive tonal properties remain predominantly shape-driven. A simple design with "back to basics" appeal Taylor assumed a back-to-basics design approach with the GS, focusing purely on tone. In returning to an acoustic roots concept, the decision was made not to make a cutaway version of the GS, at least initially. An option for electronics is av
