BOSS GE-7 Equalizer - 7-Band Graphic

BOSS GE-7 Equalizer - 7-Band Graphic

The GE-7 has seven bands ranging from 100Hz to 6.4kHz, ideal for guitar sounds, with boost/cut of +/- 15dB per band. This lets you completely control your sound and eliminate unwanted feedback, particularly when connected after a distortion effect.

The GE-7 is a very versitile and powerful effect unit, with the capability to turn weaker sounding setups into most beastly rip snorting killer sound that one could want just by using an EQ. Excellent in both clean tone and distorted, this really is a must for players wanting to improve their sound without spending mega bucks. If you are a Metal player and wish to get that 'cutting' sound then the suggested setup would be a smiley face, which means you increase your bass and treble frequencys while reducing your midrange. Please note that one should be careful when using this unit at loud volumes. Make sure that your amp can handle your setting and that you don't have the preamp set to high, or you could end up needing a new speaker and or amp. For a chunkier sound set the EQ to a W type shape. If your having feed back problems they can be solved by adjusting the levels of your frequencys to reduce it.

Not being restricted to just guitar, the GE-7 can be used for vocals and bass, depending the right frequencys are adjusted accordingly.

The GE-7 can be used as a rythmn unit, as it has a preamp and level control on it, so if one set their rythmn sound with the GE-7 a little less then their amp distortion and was to play rythmn with the GE-7, when breaking in to do the killer lead, they can have the boost of their amp distortion when switching from unit to amp. Of course you can do this both ways and it is not limited to just leads.
